I consider myself a global citizen with almost equal affection to the places I've lived. After Singapore, Canada, China, and Indonesia, together with my dear husband, I am now very much in love with Switzerland.
I hyperventilate when I enter a bookstore where I can get lost in the various bindings and textures and stories. I am obsessed with food and wish there is a more varied eating scenes (I can afford) in Switzerland as I miss trying out restaurants and documenting the visits. Far from my favourite dishes, I am a keen home cook with the said husband as my guinea pigs (on bad days) or satisfied customer (on good days).
I don't post complicated recipes. The dishes I do must adhere to the schedule of a full time, 9-to-5 corporate slave. While I strive for authenticity and flourish in challenges, I fear unnecessarily complicated steps and excessively tedious techniques.
I am also learning to maximize my Canon 400D (also known, in other parts of the world, as Rebel XTi) with its made-in-taiwan, 18-55mm kit lens (starting from Nov 2008, I shoot most food pictures with Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro).
In case you're wondering why another blog in this overpopulated world, it is strictly for vanity. Therefore the recipes, travel notes, reviews, and blabs published here are personal. Of course, you're welcome to browse and leave a piece of your mind behind.
Thank you for stopping by!
